Let it Go (from Frozen) - Elementary & Intermediate Versions

One of the most popular Disney songs for the current generation! I have two arrangements of this piece for Late Elementary to Early Intermediate pianists. The only difference is the final chorus of the Early Intermediate version offers a chance to practice using repeated eighth notes in the bass to build a feeling of momentum and power. This does require some extra coordination and awareness of both tempo and rhythm, so if that seems a bit too much for your young pianist, the Late Elementary version is just as lovely and uses a simpler blocked chord in the bass.

Married Life (from Up) - Intermediate

Married Life is the main theme from Pixar's Up. This nostalgic waltz has become very popular in its own right in the years since the movie's release, and continues to trend in heartwarming Tiktok videos and Instagram reels.

Stay with Me (Sam Smith) - Intermediate

Experience this heartfelt song in a new way by playing it yourself! This arrangement of 'Stay with Me' balances 3 voices between the two hands making it suitable for late intermediate to advancing pianists. The slow pace of the music, and the patterns that repeat throughout also make this a good piece for introducing this type of playing, with use of the pedal to help sustain all 3 voices. 

While the video demo is played without repeats, they are included in the sheet music, so feel free to include the repeats in your interpretation!

Winter Wonderland - Early Intermediate

Winter Wonderland is arranged here for late beginner through early intermediate piano. The chromatic bass part in the opening line lends a little extra sophistication to this relaxing holiday piece. Because this song is in E flat Major, which can be a little tricky for students less experienced with key signatures, the file comes with two versions: one with the traditional key signature, and the other with the key represented as accidentals throughout the piece. Depending on the pianist's comfort level with key signatures, they can play from whichever suits best.

It includes the part of the song with all the reindeer names at the beginning, and that intro is a great way to learn triplets over two beats, because the familiarity of the melody will make it easier for students to feel what can sometimes be a tricky timing. Resolve (Dawn Ivers) - Intermediate

A dynamic intermediate piano solo in G Major that begins timidly and grows in confidence and power, resolving on a peaceful, restful note.

I came up with this musical theme during a particularly frustrating month where I felt very tired and overwhelmed. I found myself playing it several times, and it sort of became my little rallying cry for pulling through that time and coming out on the other side having experienced some personal growth, and so the title became 'Resolve.'

All of Me (John Legend) - Early Intermediate

 This piece provides opportunities to practice syncopation as the melody follows Legend's vocal line, while the harmony stays on the beats. And true to the original 2013 recording, this arrangement is in Ab Major/F minor, and so provides good practice playing with 4 flats for early intermediate pianists. Add the damper pedal and enjoy!
